Here we are, the final SUTS day. To close the festival out is Elizabeth Taylor with 11 films and one documentary. One of her films, 1973’s Night Watch, is a TCM premiere.

The voice of Shere Khan from the animated version of The Jungle Book has his SUTS day with 13 films, two of which are TCM premieres, Bluebeard’s Ten Honeymoons and A Touch of Larceny; both were released in 1960.
Village of the Damned (1960)
George has a rare starring role as one of the parents of a group of evil children.

George is a painter who creates the portrait of Dorian Gray.
Foreign Correspondent (1940-4 pm/3 pm c)
Poor George has to cancel his rumba lessons to hunt down Nazi spies.
A Shot in the Dark (1964-6:15 pm/5:15 pm c)
George is one of the suspects in Peter Sellers’ second movie as Inspector Clouseau.
The silent film star has 13 films on tap today plus a world premiere restoration of 1922’s When Knighthood was in Flower.

Marion is the “unfavorite” child in this sorta-Cinderella story.

Marion’s Peggy Pepper makes it big in Hollywood as Patricia Pepoire in this send-up of the movie industry.

Blazing Saddles (1974-10 pm/9 pm c)
Slim is the henchman of Harvey Korman’s Hedley (not Hedy) Lamarr who tries to take out sheriff Cleavon Little and gunslinger Gene Wilder.
The still-working French actress has 11 films on tap plus the premiere of a new documentary Leslie Caron: The Reluctant Star.
An American in Paris (1951)
Caron’s movie debut.
Caron is a young woman who is being trained to become a courtesan aka prostitute.
Caron plays a young woman who, after becoming pregnant by her childhood sweetheart, marries an older man who gives her child a name.
The man associated with the gangster film is the SUTS star of the day. All films I recommend are on TCM on Demand or the WATCH TCM app.
White Heat (1949)
The first woman to receive the Best Actress Oscar for a foreign film makes her SUTS debut with 11 films, 2 of which are TCM premieres, 1952’s Casque d’Or and 1948’s Against the Wind.
