SUMMER UNDER THE STARS: RAY MILLAND

Day 2 of SUTS belongs to Ray Milland, who has one of the worst IMDB profile pictures ever.  Seriously, you couldn’t find a better one?

The former Reginald Alfred Truscott-Jones has 13 films on the docket including one TCM premiere-1949’s Alias Nick Beal (which is one my picks).

Mariah’s Picks

The Major and the Minor (1942-6 pm/5 pm c)

Ray plays a colonel who somehow cannot figure out that Ginger Rogers is not a 12-year-old.

The Big Clock (1948-8 pm/7 pm c)

Milland is the editor of a crime magazine who is chosen to solve a murder and he discovers that he is about to be framed for the crime.

Dial M for Murder (1954-10 pm/ 9 pm c)

Ray wants to do away with his unfaithful wife Grace Kelly.

Alias Nick Beal (1949-midnight/ 11 pm c)

Milland is the devil, really.

The Lost Weekend (1945-2 am/1 am c)

Ray’s Oscar-winning role.  It was his first (and last) nomination.
