Monty plays a psychiatrist who helps troubled Elizabeth Taylor unlock a disturbing memory.  Katharine Hepburn co-stars.


The Search (1948)

The first time audiences saw Clift on screen.  This was actually his second film, Red River being filmed first.  Child actor Ivan Jandl won a special Oscar for his performance of a child displaced by WWII.

A Place in the Sun (1951)

Clift stars as a man torn between a rich beauty (Elizabeth Taylor) and the girl he impregnated (Shellley Winters).  Clift and Taylor began a lifelong friendship with this film.
